Yes… Breizh Cafe was SO, SO good. The best crepes I’ve ever had, sweet and savory. It’s just a tiny spot, so depending on when you go there might be a wait. If so, WAIT! It’s good. Aaand… if you’re into hard cider, they have some really tasty ones. Also, I just loved Laduree. Yes, it’s pricey. But it was so beautiful! And there are several locations around – I’m sure they’re all equally lovely. I had this rose/raspberry pastry that was just the most amazing thing in this world. *drool* And, you really can’t go wrong stuffing your face with pastries wherever you see them — the croissants, the canele, the eclairs… Oh, I’m jealous! Please tell me everything you eat. 😀

Love your list, and also love that you were honest and included your opinions of the places you tried but did not like as much. Kate also raved and raved about Breizh Cafe! It is at the top of the list. Can’t wait to eat our way around Paris! 🙂

Thanks so much for your kind words. 🙂 As for a birthday spot suggestion, I must be honest… I’ve never been to Jules Vernes, so I cannot speak from experience on that one. If it were me, I would LOVE to have a lovely birthday brunch at Ladurée. I think it’s the perfect ‘special occasion’ spot, especially for a lovely, ladies day. For a 14th, I it would be just perfect. It’s French, fancy, and sweet. All of the locations seem to be beautifully decorated and I think that really adds to the fun. You can have your pretty tea cakes, flavored coffees, and maybe a bite or two of something savory to round it out. I would even suspect if you let them know it’s her birthday, they would be able to work with you on a little special je ne sais quoi. Whatever you decide, I’m sure it will be a beautiful celebration.

I’d love to hear where you wind up. Please share with us how things go! Enjoy Paris! xo

Any tips on a fantastic spot for a birthday lunch for my darling daughter Giselle, turning 14 while we are in Paris? She loves good food and a fun location. Thinking of Jules Vernes, but touristy, and Taillevent, but closed then. Open to anything wonderful.
