When I look at this image, an archived reel in my memory bank begins to play. Shift your focus. Notice something? An umbrella, perhaps? I recall a torrential downpour, a desperate, soggy attempt to enjoy tea and a stroll at Harrod's, and a tidal wave of epic proportions generated by a swiftly moving double-decker bus. Oh, what a day. The kind that makes you question any goodness in this life, but ends in laughter over one too many tea cakes. Life's like that sometimes. To this day, it goes down as one of my most helpless. There are a few places that always make the list of top places to visit for London: The Tower Bridge, Big Ben & Parliament, Piccadilly Circus, The Eye, and Buckingham Palace. Three visits to London and I've yet to see the talked about changing of the guard. I was close, oh so close, camera in hand a ready for the big event! I'd seen the horses trot past, had my camera poised, and in perfect synchronization, the raindrops began to fall. A parade of water droplets put an end to the act before it began. Before weather ushered us elsewhere, I stole a few shots, this becoming an instant favorite of mine. Like a tiny, toy soldier, fastidious and sure, poised for duty. On this day, he'd go about his business without the transitional fluff, and waterlogged me would miss out, once again. You'd think in our two month stint in London I'd have attempted another go. Deflated, jaded, a little less enthusiastic, I never did. I'm okay with that. Another time, perhaps? I've a fondness for London and welcome the thought of returning. On the list it shall stay, to be crossed off one of these days...

So the internet is going absolutely crazy with the release of the 50 Shades of Grey movie last week.  For the first time since Cindy Margolis, I think this hedonistic movement may break the internet!  Now, I haven't read the books, and probably won't see the movie (or at least not admit it publically), but that doesn't mean it hasn't inspired me to compile a list of the 50 14 most attractive, wild, and down right sex-fueled places on Earth!

Quick Jump:  Most Attractive Women • Most Attractive Men • Sexiest Accent • Wildest Beach Party • Best Nude Beach • Most Insane Pool Party • Spiciest Food • Has The Most Sex • Has The Longest Sex • Most Sex Toys • Hottest Party Destinations • Best Red Light District • Most Sinful City • The Absolute Hottest Place On Earth • References

Most Attractive Women

Brazil — It seems the dark and sultry pretty much dominate the Huffington Post's list of "Sexiest Nationalities" for women. 50s_maw

Most Attractive Men

Australia — Not exactly lining up with the list of hot women's nationalities, tall and strong looks like the common thread here. sexy-aus

Sexiest Accent

British — A whopping 27% of respondents find the Brits to have the sexiest foreign accent, a surprising distant second being American with 8.7%. sexy-london

Wildest Beach Party

South Beach, Miami — Beating out new comers like Ibiza and Rio, SoBe has been the place to party on the sand for nearly 5 decades! sexy-beach

Best Nude Beach

Montalivet, France — You may be able to go tops-off in MIA, but for the full (frontal) experience you'll need to jump the Atlantic to France's naturist campsite. sexy-nudebeach

Most Insane Pool Party

Marbella, Spain — Now if your eyes are open for the hottest bodies poolside, look no further than the Spanish Riviera!  From Ibiza to Barcelona, you're covered, but Sisu in Marbella takes this top spot. sexy-pool

Spiciest Food

Indonesia — If all this hotness is making you sweat, stay away from Sambal Oelek in Indonesia.  Sambal Oelek is used as a rub or side in many Indonesian dishes, and it is HOT! sexy-spicy

Has The Most Sex

U.S.A. — Oh that's right, I went there!  Let's get into the nitty gritty.  If you're really looking to get down, Americans have more sex than any others. sexy-most

Has The Longest Sex

Australia — We may get around the most in the U.S., but if you fancy a romp that'll last more than 4 minutes (but not by much), you'll have to go down under! sexy-longest

Most Sex Toys

China — For those interested in a good time without the company, know that 70% of the world's sex toys originate in China. sexy-toys

Hottest Party Destinations

Las Vegas — The Vegas strip is just over 4 miles long, and you can't go 4 feet without falling into something crazy! sexy-vegas

Best Red Light District

Amsterdam — This should come as no surprise, the De Wallen area of Amsterdam is what we all think of when you see, hear, feel or smell a red light (If you've been there you'll get the "smell" reference). sexy-redlight

Most Sinful City

Pattaya, Thailand — Now if you're really on the hunt for something naughty, apparently "Sex is the No. 1 activity" here. sexy-sinful

The Absolute Hottest Place On Earth

Death Valley, California — "Death Valley's Furnace Creek holds the record for the highest reliably reported air temperature in the world, 134 °F (56.7 °C) on July 10, 1913." sexy-map Do you know somewhere wilder? Let us know about it!  Leave a comment below.

SS London Intro In total, we’re spending 6 weeks (oh yeah!) in London. It’s our new home before moving to New York City, where we make the British capital our base for more quick trips around Europe. Ah, the beauty of having a few months without obligations of being in any one place. It’s been amazing to have the freedom to roam around and travel like we’re rock stars. And for these couple of days, we explored like true visitors, taking in the must-see sights, having proper tea, grabbing a pint (or two), and learning what it means to nearly lose your life to crazy drivers (honestly… look both ways, several times… here, pedestrians are low on the totem pole). Highlights are undoubtedly the Borough Market, where you can buy fresh fruits and veggies from local farmers, hot-off-the-grill eats, preserves, cured meats… you name it, it’s there, and the air just buzzes with excitement. Also, I’m not much of a beer drinker, but I do enjoy a good cider. Cider’s a big thing here, and there are often more than a few choices at the neighborhood pubs, which are not difficult to find, with something like 2,500 (or more) of the classic bar/eateries in London alone. Seeing the world-famous Big Ben and the Tower Bridge just reminds me that this is one of the greatest cities in the world, and it’s a genuine pleasure to spend time here. Our plans to leisurely explore the British countryside were quickly thwarted by manual transmission, driving on the ‘wrong’ side of the road, traffic, ridiculously narrow streets flanked by rock walls, rain, and steep hills. But those obstacles were no match for fun; we were determined to have it. Sure, the drive wasn’t quite as stress free and easygoing as we anticipated, but it was an adventure, and that’s what nightmares memories are made of. Our journey from London started with a quick photo op at Stonehenge, don't make our mistake of thinking it's in some distant field, it's actually just off the side of the road between two highways. After that on to Cheddar Gorge for lunch and a peek at the, ahem, the gorge. After that, we set course for the city of Bristol for a light overview of the sights and dinner. We spent the evening at a great little B&B in Bath (can be found on AirBNB – Beech Cottage) for a good night’s sleep. The next morning, we ventured to the city center and after some difficulty, eventually found parking for the little, red, Fiat 500 we rented for the weekend (surprisingly, roomier than you’d expect). It was a really lovely town, and we had a nice time wandering, sampling local bites, browsing the shops, and taking a peek at the Pump Room (the sneaky cheap way to get a peek at the Roman Baths). For dinner, a stop off in Oxford for a Sunday roast left our bellies satisfied and ready for the rest of the drive back to London, on a real highway, thank goodness. Not an r&r weekend, but nice to get outside of London for a better taste of the country. [See image gallery at www.cameraandcarryon.com]
