]]> Edinburgh Intro Ah, yes… land of the great William Wallace. Have I lost you? That’s the blue faced warrior from Braveheart played by Mel Gibson. Scotland has a real allure to it, at least for me. Maybe it’s the funny, garbledy, marble-mouth speak, or the fact that the traditional garb is a woolen skirt (craaazy to wear, by the way, being that it’s so flippin’ cold and wet half of the time) that makes it a desirable place to visit. Edinburgh just has a good feel to it. Dirty stone buildings and misty weather doesn’t turn me off from the inner charm of the city, of which I can’t quite articulate. It’s just a neat place. Granted, I did catch a cold there which I’ve yet to shake, but it’s not enough to keep me from praising. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what we did, other than wander, take photos, eat… the usual. But it’s that sort of nothingness that I sometimes enjoy most. A few good farmers market bites and warm beverages are enough to put a smile on my face 99% of the time. Throw in a few panoramic views, architectural beauties, off-the-beaten-path walks, and I’m a happy girl. I’m glad I got to spend some time here… even if my husband did make me try just a little haggis. [See image gallery at www.cameraandcarryon.com]
